The mission of the housekeeping department is to ensure that the entire hospital is economically maintained to a clean and sanitary standard necessary for good patient care.
In the operation of the hospital the Housekeeping Department is responsible for:
- Providing a systematic cleaning program throughout the hospital.
- Garbage disposal
- Drapery control
- Lost and Found
- Cleaning of furnishings
- Bedside curtains
- Adequate supply of paper and soap
- Window washing
- Develop and implement proper procedures for cleaning isolation area
